This class combines elements of our Heuristic Play, Sensorial Art and Messy Play classes. In our carefully curated classroom the children are able to explore and increase their sensorial experiences through a hand picked range of materials. At this age the world is one big experiment and children naturally move on from asking ‘what is it?’ to ‘what does it do?’ and ‘what can I do with it?’. This sensorial exploration is further supported by a simple introduction to age appropriate art activities and taste safe messy play activities. With time for music & songs and a communal snack break this class flows from one activity to the next keeping our young Paint Potters engaged throughout. At this age children are transitioning from crawling to toddling so our classroom is set out at floor level enabling independent movement around the whole space while always having that reassuring line of sight with their parent/carer. The free flow classroom enables your child to practice their independence, social skills and further develop their skills through which ever schema is currently captivating their attention.
‘We have been so happy for R to be at Paint Pots. The teachers have all been very kind and patient with R and really helped him settle in and gain confidence as a result.’
